Hi again. I am having a bit of a problem locating the Vista version of My Network Places. I am specifically looking for the shortcut to my ISP provided FTP shortcut.
I tried creating such a shortcut on the Vista desktop, but I can only get the FTP index to open which means I can't drag and drop to upload to the server. I also tried using Windows Explorer, but got the same result.
Question 1 - Where is the Vista equivalent of My Network Places?
Question 2 - What do I need to do to create a drag and drop shortcut to my ISP's webpage/FTP server in Vista?
Thanks
Joe

Andre - I clicked Start, Network, but I don't see a Share Documents folder and I can't find anything that remotely resembles Map Network Drive.

I found the Map Network Drive using Vista Help. I successfully completed the wizard and when I clicked Finish, my FTP server opened with drag and drop capabilities just like in XP.
Question: Where in the world is the shortcut to my ISP's FTP site which I assume was created after completing the wizard?
Thanks again.

I can connect to the FTP site and view the contents, but I cannot drag and drop pictures, etc., like I can in XP. I keep getting a pop-up dialog box asking me to make sure I have permission to access the FTP site. I don't have this problem in XP.
Any thoughts about why I might be having this problem in Vista?
